Alice entered her first art contest as a second-grader to support hurricane Katrina disaster relief. Alice believed her art creation could help raising money while made into stamps.
Her incredible hard work and dedication was rewarded by an Award of Excellence and she was also featured in 425 The Eastside's Magazine.

Open Window School Student Wins Art Award
During a recent art contest sponsored by TEF Foundation, Open Window School second-grader Alice's "Cowgirl Saves the Farm from Katrina" won an Award of Excellence. The drawing by Alice and other winners will be made into stamps and the proceeds will go to support disaster relief.
Covid-19 Awareness
To support hospitals to fight COVID I drew a card and a set of stamps with COVID guidelines to raise funds and donated that money to local hospitals. It feels very rewarding that I’m able to make contributions using my expertise.
